Summerschool – Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn

On the 21st – 23th of September, SZN organized the “International Summer School of blue biotechnology (ISSBB)” at Molosiglio of Italy.

The school included 11 Internal SZN Speakers (including Donatella de Pascale, the leader of SZN in the SECRETed project), 7 External speakers and speakers from 4 companies: Arterra Biosience, Biosearch, ItalBiotech and MATERIALS.

Daniela Coppola, Gerardo Della Sala, Pietro Tedesco and Giovanni Andrea Vitale – all members of the SECRETed research team – were also participating and organizing the summer school.

Beyond the science moments of the summer school, the event offered exceptional activities including the visit to the Castel dell’Ovo, social traditional dinners and, of course, the visit to the aquarium of the Zoological Station. In course of the summer school, the students also visited an Italian company (“Arterra”) that is active in the biotechnology sector.

Find more information, the detailed program and all activities of the summer school through its official site HERE.
