The final event of the SECRETed project was successfully held alongside the BIOKET Conference-Exhibition in March 11–13 in Brussels, Belgium.
BIOKET 2025 attracted a remarkable turnout from the bioeconomy sector, demonstrating its wide-reaching impact. Key participation figures include:

SECRETed Activities and Key Contributions at BIOKET 2025
As a Gold Sponsor, SECRETed maximized its presence by organizing a range of activities and disseminating valuable materials:
- SECRETed Booth: As a Gold Sponsor, SECRETed had a booth attracting numerous visitors interested in project findings and post-project collaboration opportunities.
- Conference Bag Materials: The SECRETed folder, flyer, program, and pen were included in every participant's conference bag.
- KET-8 Session: “Unlocking the potential of marine biotechnology for bioactive compounds production”. A session dedicated to SECRETed, where 6 work package leaders of the SECRETed project – IDENER R&D, MATIS, University of Sevilla, Sphera Encapsulation, University of Athens, Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant – showcased the project’s key outcomes so far, along with future challenges and goals, sparking the interest of several attendees, who engaged in follow-up discussions with SECRETed partners after the session and at the SECRETed Booth.
- KET-6 Session: “Innovating Bio-Based Solutions for Cosmetics, Personal care & Healthcare”. SECRETed integrated 1 more presentation - Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen – in this key session of the event.
- Poster Session: SECRETed contributed with 2 posters – from Blue Synergy and LUND University – including valuable technical information and sustainability results.
