The 8th General Assembly of the SECRETed Project (H2020) officially began on 26 May 2025, bringing together consortium partners in the vibrant city of Athens, Greece for two days of productive discussions, evaluations, and collaboration.
The meeting opened with a warm welcome from the Project Coordinator, setting a positive tone for the sessions to follow. Representatives from each Work Package took the floor to present updates, highlighting the progress and key milestones achieved over the past six months. These presentations underscored the dedication of the consortium and the strong momentum driving the project forward.
To celebrate the team’s efforts and foster informal networking, Day 1 concluded with a relaxed and enjoyable group dinner in Athens. Day 2 shifted focus to monitoring and internal evaluation, as participants assessed the progress across the remaining Work Packages and discussed strategies to ensure the project meets its ambitious objectives in the final stretch.
A highlight of the assembly was the virtual participation of coordinators from the AIMS Cluster projects — MARBLES, InnCoCells, and Algae4IBD. As co-founding members of the AIMS Cluster, the SECRETed team was pleased to exchange experiences with these sister projects. The discussions brought valuable insights into shared challenges, emerging solutions, and notable accomplishments within the broader bio-based innovation landscape.
With just six months remaining, the SECRETed Project is entering its final phase with strong results, high added value, and promising end-user applications. The consortium remains committed to delivering impactful outcomes and looks forward to building on this momentum in the coming months.
