Blue Synergy is the leader of WP8: “Sustainability Assessment” and, yesterday 26 October 2022, hosted the 1st Virtual Workshop to present tot the SECRETed consortium the sustainability assessment activities. The work plan includes LCA and LCC analyses to evaluate the environmental and economic impacts of the SECRETed products. The methodological framework considers different systems boundaries – Cradle-to-Gate, Gate-to-Gate and Gate-to-Grave – to quantify improvements of the bio-based production of surfactants and siderophores following the SECRETed innovation routes compared to the existing conventional solutions and synthetic compounds.
